Abstract
Purpose: The objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between the AI tools usage and the students’ creativity in the higher education sector in Egypt.
Methodology: This research adopted the UTAUT model in testing the relationship between GenAI usage and students’ creativity. The research adopted a mixed-method approach, qual-quan method. The research sample was the undergraduate and postgraduate students in private Egyptian universities.
Findings: The findings showed a significant relationship between the AI usage and Students’ creativity with a correlation coefficient r = 0.426, p < 0.001.
Conclusion: The AI usage can help students in generating creative output, but it doesn’t have a great effect on their creativity itself. Gen AI tools have become crucial and essential in the educational sector and should be adopted, but with regulations.
Keywords
